The room at The Tackhouse was just what I needed after a long day of exploring. It had a cozy feel with a touch of rustic charm that made me feel right at home. Plus, having two bathrooms with a shower was a game-changer!
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the free toiletries. But hey, that's just my taste.

The cottage was centrally located, making it convenient for exploring nearby attractions like Hume Castle and the Scottish Border towns. Supermarkets were just a short drive away, providing easy access to groceries. The cottage itself was charming and stayed cool even during hot weather. The excess of bathrooms, including two ensuites, was a definite plus.
The lack of sufficient kitchen utensils, such as knives and forks, was a drawback. the sofas were not very comfortable for relaxing.

The Tackhouse in Greenlaw was such a cozy and charming place to stay. The room was like a little haven, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The two bathrooms were a great bonus, especially the one with the shower and complimentary toiletries. It was so convenient and made getting ready in the morning a breeze.
Personally, I didn't quite enjoy the showers as much as I thought I would. But hey, that's just my opinion, and I can see how others might find them perfectly fine.

I absolutely loved the traditional decor of the hotel, it reminded me of my childhood home. The cozy lounge area with its beautiful fireplace was perfect for relaxing with a cup of tea. The hotel's accessibility for senior people was excellent, with wide hallways and handrails in the bathrooms providing a sense of security.
I would have appreciated a bit more assistance from the children working there.

The value for money at The Tackhouse was excellent - comfortable, clean, and homely with all the necessary amenities. The location was perfect, with beautiful walks nearby and easy access to supermarkets. The staff were warm, friendly, and made us feel at home throughout our stay.
The breakfast option could have been improved with a wider variety of cutlery available.

Stayed at a place with a garden, terrace, restaurant, and free WiFi. Hiked nearby and enjoyed the tile/marble floor. Oh, and who doesn't love a washing machine and tumble dryer in a holiday home?
Can't complain, everything was just perfect.

I had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage in a quiet location. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the bedding was of excellent quality. The house was well-equipped and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The log burner added a cozy touch, and I enjoyed using it every evening. The price was extremely reasonable, and I appreciated having access to Netflix and Amazon Prime. The coffee pods and bathroom products were a nice extra touch. The location was ideal for exploring nearby walking trails and visiting towns like Jedburgh and North Berwick. I would highly recommend this property.

We had a fantastic stay at The Tackhouse in Greenlaw! The cottage was lovely, centrally located in the village. We enjoyed exploring the nearby walking trails and visiting Hume Castle for its breathtaking views. The cottage itself was well-equipped, especially the kitchen which had everything we needed for cooking. The two ensuites and additional toilet were a bonus, and the stone-built cottage stayed nice and cool even during the hot weather. The beds were comfortable, and we loved cozying up by the wood burning stove on chilly nights. The cottage had all the amenities for a longer stay, including a washing machine. It was also great to have supermarkets within a short drive, making it convenient to get groceries. The highlight of our stay was the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a family or friends getaway. Despite a few minor inconveniences like the smaller pans and limited cutlery, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend The Tackhouse for its comfort, location, and value for money. a great place to stay and we can't wait to return!
